The Amplify system uses a partner service known as “Nylas” to manage the email Connectivity and Authentication.
Information on this service is available at www.nylas.com and www.nylas.com/products/email-api/
- Enter your email address (your Microsoft account)
- Enter your password
- Click “Sign in”
Amplify (Nylas) will now attempt to connect to your account.
If successful, you will be redirected BACK to Amplify showing a success message. Amplify will now begin to synchronise with your email account.
FAILURE If the account is not a public web-based account or is controlled by an exchange server, authentication may fail and show the following screen
- If you see the above error message (assuming you have entered the correct password), your Microsoft account is most likely part of a protected / domain managed Exchange server.
- You will need to get assistance from your company/domain administrator or the person/company who manages your email accounts to proceed further.
*Usually, users will be able to log in via Exchange using their email address and password. By default, Amplify performs auto-discovery to determine what the best server settings are to connect. Sometimes auto discovery might not work properly and manually entering advanced settings may be required to authenticate an account.
